CCTV
CCTV is short for closed circuit television which uses security cameras to transmit the picture to screens for surveillance. Systems can vary in size from one camera in a shop front to extensive home or hotel security cameras to monitor and record all surveillance and movement. This footage can be watched live through TV screens set up, online or recorded and backed up in case it is needed later.
These systems can also be set up in manufacturing industries to monitor production or machinery. Depending on the set up, recording or viewing can be continuous or set to certain times. With the progression in today’s technology there is no need to change video tapes every day and store the bulky items for years; it can be set up automatically to store online or to a sustainable but small media device.
